Leftist filemaker, Michael Moore, offered financial incentives for any electors from the Electoral College who vote against Mr Trump. Is this improper influence of our election process?

Improper indeed. The bribe itself should land anyone in prison for at least six months.

It was improper, but now that Michael Moore is richer than the rich people he hates, he does not know what to do with himself. He is such a jerk.

Actually, I don't believe he offered the electors any money if they defected. I believe he offered to pay any fines that resulted directly from them voting how they chose. Besides, since when do conservatives care about people buying elections?

JF ...since when don't leftists care about illegal influences on the election process?

Conservatives care about the fairness of the process. You may have forgotten that it's leftists who believe ANY means are justified to reach the desired end.

It appears you've gotten your names mixed up, so I'll forgive you. Let's go through this slowly. Which group supported recounts to be certain that no mistakes were made in states that could have influenced the election? Which group cares about the fact that all major government intelligence bodies agree that Russia, the folks over in Syria slaughtering civilians along with Assad, influenced our election? Which ones support a system where every voice is heard more so than the other? If you're confused about the answer to any of those, it's the Democrats.

Jill Stein, who got less than 1% of the votes, initiated a recount. Do you think she did that for her sake? The "Russia did it" meme is over. There's no proof they did anything and plenty of proof that it was a DNC insider leak mad that the Dems rigged, yes rigged, the primary against Bernie Sanders. So much for a fair election process, huh?

Fake news:
1. fact that all major government intelligence bodies agree that Russia, the folks over in Syria slaughtering civilians along with Assad, influenced our election?

2. Which ones support a system where every voice is heard more so than the other?

jfish82285 Tennessean in Colorado

Scott, it doesn't take a genius to do a quick google search to see that both the CIA and the FBI agree that Russia interfered in our election. You can look at the UN and Aleppo civilians to verify the slaughtering part. Your second point isn't even news, mate, it was a rhetorical question, so I'm confused as to why you listed that.

JF ... let's consider your two questions seriously ...

Q1. "Which group supported recounts to be certain that no mistakes were made in states that could have influenced the election?"

A1. Many people -- including me -- supported the recount. While we may have had different motives and expectations, the outcome brings the disinfectant of sunlight to the process. As we now know, there was no rigging of machines found. We also know that the corruption found was in Democrat strongholds, like Detroit, where several precincts actually had more votes cast than registered voters. As a result of the recount, this voter fraud resulted in Mrs Clinton losing votes and Mr Trump gaining votes. It also confirmed the suspicion of many that Democrats continue to attempt to illegally affect the elections by stuffing the ballot box. The question is ... will you, and other leftists accept the results of the audit? Will you call for Democrats to stop their illegal acts?

Q2. "Which group cares about the fact that all major government intelligence bodies agree that Russia, the folks over in Syria slaughtering civilians along with Assad, influenced our election?"
A2. I care, many conservatives care and some on the left care as well. The more interesting question might be, why do those on the left care? Is it because they would have preferred that the writings of Mrs Clinton's inner circle had been kept secret? Has the hacking that exposed the ugly emails help Americans see the corruption of Mrs Clinton and thereby avoid a catastrophe? Do you deny the veracity of the emails or are you just upset that the American public saw the things that the Democrats were saying?

The CIA and FBI claim to be "confident" of such activities but clearly have no proof. That's what is called an accusation. You do realize accusations require proof before being called a fact?

Think Lovin Life
12/20/16 9:35 am

Guy ... why do you care about the hundreds of thousands of people being massacred in Syria? I ask this seriously because you went along with the ridiculous non-leadership of MrO who drew a red line and then watched the dictator of Syria cross that line rig no consequences. MrO abandoned the millions of Syrians because of his own pride. It is sickening to think that he -- and his supporters -- who abandon those people and then later attempt to see themselves as saviors as these people flee the conflict.

JF ... he's offering to pay them money if they will influence the election. That is buying their votes. That sounds very illegal!

jfish82285 Tennessean in Colorado
12/19/16 11:40 pm

No, he's offering to pay fines if they choose to go about their duties in a manner that a state disagrees with, which is, arguably, unconstitutional. You must either understand less law than Tom or simply don't care about spreading false information!

Think Lovin Life
12/20/16 8:04 am

JF ... how they use the money is irrelevant. Whether Mr Moore gives the individual the money, or pays their fine it is the same. Mr Moore should go to jail!

jfish82285 Tennessean in Colorado
12/20/16 8:44 am

It is not the same. I'd be inclined to agree with you if he were just offering folks hundreds or thousands of dollars to vote whichever way, but that isn't the case. He's offering to pay any fines that arise from it, not to mention the fines can be argued to be unconstitutional.
