What's Siri or Onstar? I'm confused. :/

Does Siri call the police if you crash? If you don't tell it to? On star is definitely better

Siri rocks it does everything and with the update to iOS 6 it does even more, I love my sassy computational assistant

Siri. Only because I've never used onstar.

Waiting for Siri to be activated through my hands free in my car like my nav, climate control, stereo, etc.

Onstar was so ten years ago. No advances in it and you have to pay for the service.
On the other hand Siri is a dirty pirate hooker.

06/13/12 6:20 pm

i personaly like onstar cause it helps you find something really fast other than siri that you talk to for ttbe sake of time and plus siri isnt even helpful in the finding a resturant situation

06/13/12 5:49 pm

I pick OnStar. It's a life-saving device, while Sirius is a restaurant-finding device

I dont have a car so....Siri!

06/13/12 1:31 pm

Totally different things right now... OnStar because it is much more capable.

Siri is amusing, and I've never actually used my OnStar before so I guess Siri gets my vote.

I wish I could kill Siri. It's so annoying and unhelpful.

They're for different things as far as my understanding goes, I could be wrong. But as I don't have a vehicle I will have to say Siri is abundantly more useful to me.

OnStar isn't in my pocket and can't add stuff to my calendar or settle bets.

BlackBenz - you no longer have to have a GM vehicle, you can buy a mirror, etc & install it to any car now.

Not the same thing...

I would find OnStar helpful if I had a GM vehicle. I don't really use Siri. I would rather have human interaction I think. OnStar it is.

Human interaction is always better. Technology is good but not advance enough yet.

Onstar was a deal breaker for me. You can't order a GM vehicle without it. If the Camaro had the option of leaving it out, I would have bought one.

Bad Move GM, it cost you a 40k sale.

Once your subscription is up for onStar they listen to you in the car and stuff

06/12/12 2:17 pm

hm I originally said Siri, but now that I think of it OnStar seems to be more helpful especially during emergencies. Siri is just a bonifide talking search engine for lazy people.

...it's fun to ask certain questions and see what she has to say. Plus, OnStar only deals with vehicle issues as far as my knowledge.

Siri. I have an Apple device myself, and it has served me well. At first I doubted the practicality of Siri because you wouldn't say,"send I love you to dad" in public. But, if you know proper phone etiquette you wouldn't be calling or talking to/on a phone when you're around people. And...

I am amused by the people bashing Siri. Yes, she definitely has limits, but Siri really helps me out a lot. I have a long commute and I like that I can schedule reminders, send texts, and makes notes, and get directions with minimal looking away from the road.

The only people who like Siri are the apple beatniks who stand in line for a day for a new apple product. Your their dream consumer who advertises for them.
They will never say Siri sucks being it comes from apple.

I have Siri she works some of the time. Used Onstar and it worked beautifully when we were having vehicle problems. They actually came on before we knew what was going on and told us there was possible problems and sent us to the nearest dealer. This was very helpful since we were on a girls trip!

06/12/12 11:27 am

Siri is sassy. Lol I'd go with neither!
