A Turkish police officer shot and killed the Russian ambassador to Turkey Monday, moments after shouting "Don't forget Aleppo" and "Allahu akbar". Do you think this will have an effect on Russian policy in Syria?

So, why exactly do you post this for iPad users? I see you post it all the time and have been curious.

elianastar Gab.ai FreeSpeech

Many iPad users do not get the feature of being able to see the Poll Q in Comments. I got tired of no longer being able to see them on my iPad & the frustration of no *easy* way to get to the Poll Q from Comments when clicking on a Notification... which takes me to the *Comment* but not the Q the comment relates to. Especially aggravating when there are multiple polls worded differently on the same popular topic! My old iPod Touch had that feature & I was stunned when my iPad replaced it & that feature was gone.

I try to remember to copy/paste the Poll Q to my first comment in a poll so I can easily find it in the comments - especially in SOH main polls.

The ambassador can choose whether he wants to leave the embassy with a bodyguard. In this case, he chose not to. That allowed this Turkish idiot to pose as his bodyguard to enter the venue and get close enough to kill him.
The killer was investigated in July by Turkish police as part of an attempted coup. Why he was allowed to remain a police officer is the question.
It's not a big conspiracy. It was a very low key event. Karlov decided he did not need to take bodyguards.

@Pp8qq-Tell me, when and how did you become a Russian expert? Lived there? Speak Russian? Degree in Russian history?
All governments have intrigue.
If you know how ambassadorships work in most countries, you will see that often the ambassador does not have a bodyguard.
The US supports the rebels in Syria. Great. Do you know what that means? Syria was primarily secular but the Islamic Front wants a totally Islamic state in Syria. That is why Kurds have been so targeted. Assad may be a dictator but he is stability. The rebels want a revolution. They want an Islamic state controlled by Sharia law. That is what Revolution in Arab countries usually mean. As you can see from Iran, that does not always work out well. Were it not for the UK, France, NATO, US backing the rebels, the "revolution" would have fizzled out some time ago.
Getting rid of the somewhat secular rule of Assad will bring in an even more despotic but Sharia supporting religious regime.

No. I said Putin USED TO BE. I have made that very clear. My parents began the process of leaving after the murder of Boris Nemtsov. I began to see Putin in a different light. I see Putin as good for Russia knowing the kind of leaders Russians like. Putin is very very popular.
I use Russian media but this is not 1952. Non-Kremlin supported news agencies can and do exist. RT is Kremlin supported so they are pro-Putin. The Moscow Times is not a fan of his, as are several small newspapers.

I'm not excusing Assad. I am not excusing Putin. I am saying there is a really big picture you don't seem to see.
I need to take a breath? Ok. Fine. I answered your conspiracy question with information. Sure, curiosity and investigation is what you do with every news story. Lol Lol. You don't like Putin. I get that. Neither do my parents. You don't like Assad, neither do I but in the scheme of things do you want to support people who pledge alliance to the Islamic state? It appears you do.
