Mental Health Challenge: Think of an area where you want to improve. For example, mine is patience. I will be happier, when I learn to be more patient. You know what you need. Promise yourself to work especially on this one area, in the coming week.

AND know that you are ok without that trait! If you can improve it, that's great, but if that's just not how you are, embrace it!!

Yes. I'm working on standing up for myself. I've come very very close to a mental break down lately. And I'm doing the best I can to pull myself together. An extremely stressful month.

I read your poll about forgetting where you were in the mall. Please take care of yourself!

Yes, standing up for yourself is critically important.

Never pray for patience.

Because, you only earn patience through trials.

You are absolutely correct Blue. However, the unintended consequences should be considered when praying for such things.

True, and sometimes not answered in the way we thought they would be or understand.

The other day I came up with a great saying about patience.
I quit praying for patience, instead I pray for peoole to get the hell out of my way.

I'll be working on procrastination. I'm horrible at putting things off until the last minute.

Do you mind sharing what you are working on?

Not being so self-critical, I guess...I'm not sure which is why I sad what I did.

I have an answer. I'm going to figure out exactly who I am, who I want to be, & how to love & accept whoever that is & be happy without it having anything to do with anyone else.

Hmm. I'm gonna go with the whole respect your parents thing, because I need to work on that, or the whole pray 5 times a day thing. I usually get 0-2, and I've been having trouble interrupting my riveting conversations on Show of Hands to do that.

I'll try, but it won't be easy!

I apologize for not doing these in a while. I had major internet problems for almost two weeks. (See my poll from yesterday.)

Did you seem to have less patience as you have aged? I have noticed it with myself. :)

It's always been a weakness of mine. Now that you mention it, yes, it may have been getting worse, as I get older.

I've always been a very patient person. And lately my patience is wearing very thin

I gave up long ago. Too many mean people. I just figure if you're nice, I'm nice. If you're a jerk, well..
