You are next in line to check out at the grocery store and have a full cart of groceries. The person behind you has only a few items. Do you let the other person check out first?
It depends on who I'm with and if I'm in a hurry.
Yes I do! I insist! What I don't like is when they push past me with their things and don't ask.
Have done it many times.
Yes, If they were to ask.
It depends on the situation. Sometimes I would.
OR simply pay for their items.
I always do. They are not usually in my lane when I have a lot, but in the express lane, I do..
I don't usually check to see. I figure if they got in line behind me they must've seen my full cart. I never get in line behind someone with a full cart when I need something quick unless I'm totally forced to, but I'd have to be at a very tiny grocery or there at a very busy time for that to happen, which l almost never am.
If I notice. Unfortunately, I can be bad about not noticing things like this.
Often. Not always. And I've gotten hosed on it too, when it turned out they needed a price check, or were swapping cashiers after that order, or the person I let ahead of me had trouble paying, or they decided yes, now would be a great time to sign up for the rewards program. So it depends on if I have a lot of extra time, because I just assume it won't be as smooth as it would be if we just checked out in turn.
Absolutely, unless I'm running late, but that's my pet peeve, so it doesn't happen often.
Always. I'm very aware of my surroundings and often give others cuts.
If I notice, yes. However, I tend to live in my head and miss my surroundings. I also typically don't buy any more than a bag or two's worth of groceries.
No. That's why they have a quick checkout line.
That happened to me recently. The quick lane wasn't open.
A few to me sounds like they have gotten in the wrong lane. Point out the 10-items-or-less lane to them.
Up north they won't
I'm from the north and I always do.
Yes, we do quite often. I've done it many times and have had people do it to me often.
Normally I would but after getting screwed over a lot recently being the person with a few items I don't think I would give someone the pass
Usually, sometimes I just take an instant dislike to people and don't.
Maybe if they have 1 but 2 or 3. It's a line first come first serve. And who goes to the actual checkouts with only a few items there is a 15 items or less and a self checkout.
Depends on the circumstances. If I'm next in line, most likely I've already started unloading my groceries onto the belt. If I'm farther back in line, then yes, I'll probably let the other person go ahead of me.
Absolutely. I have done it many times.
