Did/do you play as an adult or adolescent with toys that are designed for children?

Well, I e been a teacher for years, and I have taught babies, preschool , and elementary as well as other ages. So, yes. I own a lot of toys for an adult.

Do Nerf assault weapons count? I can't tell you how many times I've 'breached' my house and taken down all the children in a barrage of foam darts....all while laughing maniacally....you'd figure they would learn......

To me, those are made for young adults. Too expensive for kids to get

I maintain a fleet of cheap RC cars and helicopters, a Yoyo, Top, a Gyroscope and old cap guns and have a few miniature cap guns.
Thought about getting a Slinky but I don't have any stairs.

So have you played with toys since you were 12?

With children's toys is the question.
Toys come for all ages.
The Furby clearly is designed for kids but for example model trains or kites are for all ages.

With my kids, of course, when they were younger. I may have brought out the Hot Wheels once or twice, but it was more fun with my son.

Yes, I'm a fan of animated toys.
As an adult, I had a tamagotchi, robot dog and Furby.
I might soon get a hatchimal.
