I was just looking at photos from 1997. Nobody had their eyes glued to their cell phone. Nobody was texting. Nobody was sending snapchats. Nobody was updating their Facebook. And for sure nobody was on show of hands arguing about politics.

If you own a modern smart phone of any kind then answer yes, because Apple invented the category.

iPhone isn't perfect, but it is fantastic. Improved my life hugely

Definitely. They offer what is the best phone available for me, albeit one that is far too huge to be perfect, and I'm using an iPad this very moment. I have several desktop and laptop PCs available, and delightful Amazon devices I can talk to that talk back to me, but for some everyday activities none is as convenient as the iPad.

I have an iPhone, and need to get a computer soon. I don't wanna get a MacBook, but I'm afraid I will have to.

Yes. They don't break within 2 years like every Microsoft or Google product I've owned. And certainly film/music wise.

My iPhone has made my life more enjoyable. Thanks, Steve Jobs!

Oh yes! Many of the seminal RPG games I've played were first developed on the Apple II. I also used to use my iPod Nano a lot...for jogging and working, plus it doubles as an emergency radio. Real genius, that Steve Jobs!

Everyday! Even right NOW! Hi everybody on SOH, from my iPhone 7 Plus! Apple makes my life better, 'cuz YOU! Plus, my iMac in the other room, that fights for attention with 'this' thing(!), and even now, as I'm watching AppleTV! Wonderful! Hey, I'm watching this fascinating show on Netflix, "The OA". I suggest this!!! (We'll talk later...!)

I would be lost without them, and I find new ways to use my iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch every day.

Additionally, they pioneered smartphones and tablets. They set the bar for quality and reliability. Both products would exist today without Apple, but they wouldn't be nearly as good or as cheap.

Only because of the iPhone.

Not a fan of their product for multiple reasons, but I give credit where credit is due. None of you would be typing on your smartphone right now without Steve jobs and his work at apple

I've never owned an iThing. Directly, they've had neither a positive nor negative impact.

Probably indirectly through innovation that forced other companies to better themselves. I don't like their actual products.

Honestly I wish I never even got an iPhone, because it's become a complete distraction from real things that I should be spending my time on, instead of sitting on my phone playing games, watching YouTube, or doing whatever.

You have the power to change that!

12/17/16 7:04 am

Yes I have changed quite a lot now ,but before it was an addiction where I didn't have any limits, and it totally controlled my life.

I'm glad you were able to get it under control.

Yea thanks. The sad thing though is that back then I was considered your "average" teenager, which just goes to show how bad it's getting for other kids.

Yep! I'm a high school teacher and I see this addiction or dependency all the time. It's worrisome.
