Do you believe that Donald Trump's candidacy and soon-to-be presidency has influenced young journalists to gravitate to the left or to the right on the spectrum of U.S. politics?

For young journalist to survive, they have to be Left. I would wonder if these young journalist are more effected by how the DNC treated Bernie?

Hard to say. Trump and Hillary were both awful candidates, so they more or less canceled each other out. Each individual perspective journalist was probably just pushed farther in whichever direction they were already leaning.

A journalist is not supposed to be "left" or "right", they're supposed to be actual journalists!

Right. There is now a clear demand for news that isn't full of leftist rhetoric and lies.

Good question. I would say more to the right because it has encouraged more honest journalism IMHO.

What about all of the "crooked media" comments and supposed harassment by his supporters at rallies? Do you think that might have propelled some further to the left?

Hopefully it motivated them to open their eyes and realize that MSM has a hard left bias and to strive to be more fair and investigative in covering and reporting events OR to be honest in stating that their product is editorial/opinion.

I don't know Orkie, but he's still making those remarks. I haven't heard anything about harassment by his followers. The media is angry that he bypasses them with his tweets also.
