Again, I could find these studies if requested, but am at work.
Abortion availability decreased maternal death due to complications with pregnancy and with the abortions (since making something illegal doesn't stop it).
It also has correlated to a decreased in youth crime rate years later.
Since women weren't having as many unwanted kids, less kids were stuck in the revolving door that kids sometimes find themselves in when put in foster care, and so on.

Yes, because women DO NOT get or ask for late term abortions unless there is something seriously wrong with the fetus or herself! I hope you never, ever ever have to be put in that position. I hope you never ever have to carry a dead fetus to term, or deliver a fetus that can't survive or you yourself die, because of some misguided law thought up by people who refuse to just leave abortions up to the women and the doctor or doctors involved.
