Coming full circle, "The Russians did it" has become meme. The Russians are the scapegoat of choice for *everything* now! Get in on the fun... the Russians are! 😂

If it is a meme, it is only one among right-wing apologists. Tensions with Russia are a serious threat. These accusations should not be taken lightly.

Republicans in general and Trump in particular are playing a very dangerous game; in their quest for power they are encouraging the citizens of this country to not just distrust everything coming from anyone with authority and knowledge, but to assume that the opposite must be true in those cases and to suspect collusion towards some evil end.

No good will come of this rampant endorsement of ignorance, and ultimately it will backfire on this country in a most devastating manner.

A case - at least equally strong - can be made that those who chided Trump & surrogates from "undermining our democracy" before the actual election for a specific list of attitudes, actions, comments & "threats"... & who, it should not be ignored, raised & made an issue of "the Russians" when no verified evidence has yet to be produced the Russians were doing what they've been accused of doing...

... are now doing *precisely* those very things - with extreme vigor - & are accomplishing *precisely* the outcome THEY warned against.

If we are in danger of intensified aggression between US & Russian relations, perhaps the Clinton crew ought to consider ratcheting back the unsubstantiated self-serving rhetoric instead of working so hard to accomplish the "horrifying" (Hillary's word) undermining of the "peaceful transfer of power" & attempts to discredit the incoming Administration.

Monday the election will be 99% done, the Electoral College will have cast their votes, then in January Congress will confirm *those* votes & it'll be DONE.

Even OBAMA has stated that regardless the Russian's intent, they had NO effect on the outcome of the election.

The unmitigated hypocrisy of the illiberal Democrat Party is doing - effectively - what they were so "horrified" Trump *might* do on the basis of his refusal to concede the outcome of an election that hadn't yet taken place.

Sounds like a lot political posturing to win at ANY cost.

Perhaps they should consider taking their own advice.

That is an awful lot of words saying pretty much "Dems lost, so anything critical of anything must be an attempt to invalidate the results". Not to mention that you contradicted yourself at least once.

Both @skinner and @metamorphosis made excellent points below, I am disinclined to repeat what they said so well.

It is time to stop campaigning against President Obama (he has already been elected, twice, and is in the process of completing his term) and against HRC and the Democrats in general, elianastar. Trump won. Get over it. It is time to focus your attention on PEDJT and the world as it is.

Do you believe that he is above reproach?

If you are defending the continuing campaign *against* the the new Administration... & from the things you are saying I have absolutely no idea where you are related to *anything*... knock yourself out.

The election is almost over, DJT will be sworn in Jan 20th & *immediately* begin the process of MAGA, despite the best efforts of the crybullies & sorelosers who are attempting to do *virtually* everything they can cook up during their weepy sleepless nights to undo what has been & is being done. If in that camp, good luck. If you aren't, awesome.

No one paying any attention is so delusional as to not KNOW DJT is far from perfect or beyond reproach. Neither is what we have now, what we had prior to that nor what we will have *after* that.

The difference w/DJT? He LOVES USA & her ppl, he doesn't lecture us & talk down to us & TALK us to death (literally) in general. He ENCOURAGES us to believe & dream & work to make our lives & that of those for whom we care better. He isn't golfing & shooting hoops & having "beer summits."

He's working to make a difference - already - & he's finding ppl of action to help him get things done. Regardless what I or anyone else things of some of those ppl.

So the Dems have no problem accusing Russia of falsifying the US election, but freak out when Trump receives a phone call from the Taiwanese leader?

It's not funny. The Russians are a serious geopolitical threat to the United States and its interests around the world.

Yes. They are.

AND they had nothing whatsoever to do with the DNC document leaks & no one has provided any verified empirical evidence they had any impact of any merit on the 2016 election, despite all the "hair on fire" hysteria claiming otherwise.

If you expect the intelligence agencies to be totally transparent about how they are able to identify Russian cyber warfare, then you've completely lost your marbles. They can't afford to tell the American public exactly why they believe what they do, because that would jeopardize their ability to detect further Russian meddling in the future.

When you cite the Russian Times to dispute Russian propaganda charges, it doesn't exactly bode well for your argument

elianastar Gab.ai FreeSpeech

The Russian Times wasn't shared & what *was* shared wasn't about Russian propaganda. An article that included a tweet from the Russian Times & memes from them & *others* making fun of being blamed for things they haven't been documented to have done was shared. A distinction I wouldn't expect to be appreciated by some quarters.

The FBI and CIA are in agreement that the Russians actively tried to influence this election. I find Republicans to be both unpatriotic and anti American to disregard this information. Frankly, this is shameful and embarrassing to the Republican Party.

If this happened to Trump, you people would be losing your minds and threatening to forcefully take back or country from "comrade Clinton."

I doubt that but you never know. Honestly, if Russia wanted a candidate, the path to Clinton was clear. Just donate to the Clinton foundation. It's a very easy process.
Trump may want better relations but he's a loose cannon. You cannot predict him where you could easily predict Clinton.

Putin didn't like Clinton because she suddenly meddled in his election. And all you have to do is compliment Trump and you're in.

I know!!! I heard that last night! How pathetic is THAT???

I've been seeing a lot of "The Russians did it" memes the last week. My favorite is a little kid, sitting on a toilet, with black magic marker all over the entire bathroom - and him - looking up out of the top of eyes: The Russians did it. 😂 😂 😂
