Okay Doctor, by your standards; but to me this self described Anarchist and believer of libertarian socialism is probably not a conservative. Since he was an anti-Vietnam War Activist, he appears a bit liberal to me.
Doctor, we actually established self managed work groups at the Eastman Kodak Company. I even wrote a paper about what we did, and why we liked it so much. We called it "worker empowerment". Not bad for Capitalists, huh. Imagine my surprise, learning from you that leftwing Liberals had hijacked it from us!
Actually, l bet Trump has also employed the concept, as he is very well read and willing to try new ideas. Oh those evil corporations. Self Managed Work Groups showed us that everyone didn't need to be a college graduate to get ahead!
Leftism existed long before your worker self management. And the capitalists were still stealing from the workers. Take the self management another step, and also manage the allocation or resources. You save millions on not paying a CEO!
Oops, I actually agree with you on something. No CEO is worth six hundred times what an average employee makes! That is due to an idiotic system in which CEOs serve on each other's Boards of Directors and approve each other's salary increases. It's "cronyism at its worst, and one I would like to see done away with.
I'm glad you think so, that would be a huge step in the right direction. There's a politician in France running for president in 2017 who wants to introduce legislation which would mandate that CEOs can't make more than 11 times their lowest worker. I think this is a good measure, but I'd prefer to see the position eliminated and its responsibilities relegated to the workers to be handled democratically in the workplace.
