Inspired by AnnaRose: To describe the evening meal do you use the word 'dinner' or 'supper'?
I use them interchangeably
I've always just said dinner, don't know why in particular.
I say dinner more often than not but I also use it to describe the midday meal.
You say dinner to describe lunch? That's interesting lol
Did you ever read the boxcar children? They always called lunch dinner.
@ Sloan: yes I call lunch dinner oftentimes but people often get confused by that so I have to call it lunch too
@ Ocean: yes I've read the Boxcar Children, but I haven't read those books in years! I used to love them though
I usually say dinner also.
I too read the box car books. :) it was for school and this program we had to do until high school called Accelerated Reader (AR). We read books, took tests, and were required to score a certain # of points each six weeks.
I hated it..lol.
My dad thought it would be cool to do summer school and it was a lot like this. I hated it too.
