Have you ever heard of the International Baccalaureate program?

I almost ended up teaching IB Physics a couple years ago, but it would have involved a move back to my sleepy little hometown, so I turned it down. It is a fantastic program, though.

Ya I am! I took a couple IB classes as a sophomore, but next year all of my classes will be IB. I was just wondering because I had seen skinner's post about his great AP score!

Yeah, that's neat. I only know of 1 IB school down here and one up in NoVa.

I mean, I think there's one up there.

Me? Which one? One was my old school. It qualified enough for the NATO HQ to send officers' children to it to satisfy their foreign credit requirements.

No Beach - samki - it's scary getting classes from international schools - they may not be recognized as "real schools"

IB classes are accredited and are weighted like AP classes, but thanks for your concern. It's kind of a new program, so it doesn't have a lot of attention yet, but it is gaining more and more ground. Also, you can get college credit sometimes!
