After hearing what happened with the beheading/dismemberment of a brazilian Ref, would you be weary of going to 2014 World Cup in Brazil?
I don't watch soccer, but I probably wouldn't go after hearing about something like that!
I love soccer, it's been my favourite sport since I was a kid. But I'm highly upset with sports right now and deeply disturbed by that story.
I have no problem as i am not a referee.
I've never been interested in soccer, and this doesn't change my view. However, from my understanding, the game in question wasn't part of the national organization. It was apparently a back alley sort of match.
Thats what i keep reminding myself. I'm staying in the touristy areas. You won't find me doing any backwoods tours.
And definitely do NOT wear a striped jersey
I might be cautious about being a ref, but being a spectator wouldn't concern me. Not that I would be interested in going anyway unless it happens at the same time as Carnival and is in Rio.
I don't go to soccer matches
Haven't heard about the ref...but maybe if they had more stuff like this I would actually care about soccer.
Did he make a bad call?
Apparently started over a red card. A player assaulted the ref, in turn, the ref stabbed him multiple times (he died), and the family dismembered him/put his head on a spike.
Even if I actually watched soccer, I most definitely wouldn't go after hearing about that.
I'm going. The only things i feel the least bit worried about are being robbed or caught in a stampede/riot.
Thank you. I'll certainly be on high alert.
Wish I could go. I don't even like soccer but would love the thrill of the experience.
