Yes. There's no reason people in possession of marijuana should be in jail when we could be putting real criminals in there, most jails are overpopulated as is. And from what I've seen in terms of statistics, alcohol and cigarettes have caused more

harm and danger to people than marijuana.

Legalizing would make it more
Expensive and made in a factory though

Our founding fathers would say so.

Here's whats funny! Cigarettes are bad to inhale but pot is good! Something is wrong with that logic.

Well they both aren't good but the reason cigs are so bad is the added stuff is bad, plus the soil they used to make it sweet was radioactive....

There are many other ways to use marijuana than just smoking it.

The logic is not about the respective benefits/harm of each. The point is that cigarettes are legal and pot is not.

I give to the kids for desert. Mo calories, keeps them calm, they a happy little bunch. But when they get their drivers license I might reduce their intake!

I see no reason to legalize it. It is just one more drug that is legal.

Is keeping weed illegal worth expending tax $$ for enforcement and incarceration?

Yeah! The federal government should cut discretionary and mandatory spending. That is what is causing the national debt to go up.

If cigarettes are a no, mo then why is smoking pot OK?

Cigarettes are legal. No one (?) is proposing outlawing possession or selling them.

It's an amazing plant with a multitude of uses. Can grow pretty much anywhere and in abundance. A fantastic natural renewable resource that unfortunately has been vilified for the most ridiculous reasons.

How do you regulate or tax something I can just grow in my backyard?

Well it can't just spontaneously grow you need to purchase seeds. Businesses that sell marijuana or its seeds will be heavily taxed and regulated.

Why can't I just harvest seeds from my plants- that how it's done.

skinner Jersey City

Regardless not everyone will grow it in their yard

And what is the "alienate" step?

Businesses will have to include the harmful effects of usage on the marijuana packages and must have at least two posters detailing its effects

I agree with skinner. If it was legal companies would take over and make it efficient. They would win over home-grovers even with a tax. Compare to alcohol.

People probably would grow it illegally, but people also make moonshine illegally. Some people will always break the law, said he self-righteously.

Yes, but regulated harshly.

I said no only because at present there are no regulations. Have reasonable limitations in place and I would have no problem.

My reply was to the regulating it part, not the other part
