Are African Americans lucky to be here now even though they were treated so poorly in the past?

The Irish were treated bad too. Get over it and stop the race wars!

I think their freedom was inevitable.

Goalie this just proves your ignorance of skin color. And your racist upbringing.

I have multiple black friends that believe that their ancestors are heroes for going through slavery and racism so now they have equal living quality as everyone.

Look little kid the fact of the matter is, you are asking hey was it worth it to put up with slavery then because what you have now? Kinda fucked up....

if you thought it was a bad poll down vote it... I just did after realizing how bad it sounded. I worded it wrong. I'm sorry if it offended anyone. on to the next poll

There are thousands of children in Africa that starve, get a lack of medicine, and other stuff. As bad as it was on peoples ancestors was it worth it for their future generations to have the equality, quality of life, and tolerance that there is now

Well by that logic I'm lucky to be here too. There are people in Eastern Europe who are living under the exact same conditions. Many Asian-Americans are better off here than they would've been in their countries.

but nobody else were forced to be taken from their homeland and sold as slaves. that is more of the question. Were the terror of slavery and racism worth the result which is equality and quality of life(conditions are bad in most of Africa)?

No it wasn't worth it. Nobody should have to go through that. The freedom that everyone equally shares now is in no way justification for slavery!
