Sometimes I shut myself off from social interaction intentionally. Let important people know my whereabouts, shut my phone off, and live in peace with myself for a while. It offers alot of time for introspection and productivity.
Under what criteria am I not a nerd? I have an unnaturally high IQ and grades, I'm a member of the National History Honors Society, I game avidly (mostly World of Warcraft), I love superheroes, & I estimate I have read at least three thousand books.
I don't think I could go without communicating on my phone for three days without great heartache. At least going without food for three days means that I'd lose some weight, and that's never a bad thing. :)
I have gone three days without eating and it wasn't fun but its doable, but I don't think I could ever go that long without human interaction; I'm too much of a "social bitterly" and I love talking to people and getting to hear their perspective on
On this or that. Everybody has at least one interesting thing to say and usually they have a whole lot more than one interesting thing to say and I just love getting to hear these things and bouncing ideas off of each other and laughing about stuff
I'd pick going without interaction, as long as I could have my books. I wouldn't LIKE going without the internet, but I'd live. I'd also live without food for 3 days (& have done it). but I don't think that would be wise for me.
I could do either without too much difficulty, and have done both at different times. I picked food because I do get hungry after a day or two, and while I'd miss the Internet, I might not even notice the phone was off. It'd be like camping.
