He betrayed us, how could he be considered the greatest hero of America?? I think not

He attempted to betray us. He did stop two British invasions that would have broke our back.

Greatest hero was Audie Murphy, greatest villain could be the Rosenbergs. But my favorite traitor is... Drum roll... Hanoi Jane Fonda.

I already spat venom at Ol' Jane on a poll.

Didn't Arnold's defection have something to do with his loyalist wife.

A little but men pretty much do everything in pursuit of a woman's approval.

The British invaded on lake Champlain and he built a pretty rag tag fleet that was just good enough to delay them for a year. Then Burgeons invaded and he led a crucial charge on the flank of Gates army to stop another invasion.

Kate, he was probably responsible for our victory at Saratoga which was instrumental for getting the alliance with France.

"Women always lead to destruction."

Wow.

Now Susan, sit down, breath deep, have a glass of water. I'm sure he didn't mean it quite that way. And certainly not always. Maybe "a lot or most of the time, but not always".

I'm calm. You're right; maybe not *quite* always. Much better. Or hey, perhaps it was even a joke. So... funny.

I probably should not have said always.
