Obamacare is primarily a way to eventually nationalize health care and create a single-payor system. The main goal is control, not so much wealth redistribution.

Your question implies that the act's primary goal is to distribute wealth. It's goal is to distribute the cost of care among the healthy. All insurance policies work this way. By reducing health costs all should benefit - admittedly in theory.

I don't know what's the argument against healthy people having a health savings account to be used when YOU get sick - or only used for others if you die.

Spellcheck your polls before you publish them!

No need to get sassy, just a little difficult to read some polls

Yes, temporarily. In theory once they're old they should benefit.

Of course I'd be amazed if the health-care system hadn't changed significantly by then, no predicting what will really happen.

That's what they said about social security and Medicare. Like that'll be around for me

Any program that starts off in a deficit will always be in a deficit, or it seems in the nation.

Anyone voting no, please explain how you can vote no.

I try to get people to explain their positions and the almost never step forward.

I know, that's why I try this. Geteduc8d is asking if Monsanto is evil. A lot of yes votes, but of course nobody will explain why.

I voted no because it also helps other people. With the ACA I can stay on my moms insurance till I am 26. Previously I would have lost my coverage come next year when I graduate with an undergrad. I'm planning on go to grad school, I would not be ...

...able to afford my own insurance in grad school. Additionally I plan on being self employed one day the ACA will make insurance affordable for me. The ACA helps people afford medical help. Medical help is a right, not a privilege.

Emberlynn I agree it is wealth distribution to other groups too. How is health care a right?

Health care is a right because those who can't afford it aren't able to seek help for their medical issues and so they remain untreated. I'm too tired to properly phrase this but it isn't fair to deny people the chance to be healthy.

Please show me where health care is denied to some one who is ill.... Also there are numerous charities and the such to help folks to get access to healthcare. Lastly if you think ACA will make it affordable you ma'am are delusional you can see the..
