"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism"
Yes, although today Americans have been brainwashed to think it means remaining 100% loyal to the government no matter what the atrocity because, well, "turuhrism".
The right to dissent may be the highest form of freedom. It's our rights we should be thankful for - not some neurotic need to make noise and be disrespectful.
Depends upon purpose/intent of dissent. To protect/defend US Constitution & it's principles/values, liberty/freedom in compliance w/core values/principles of same, in defiance of fiat, tyranny, subjugation. Absolutely. In defiance of these? No
I only slightly disagree. I see the highest form of patriotism in those that stand and fight for us followed closely by those that dissent for the betterment of all.
I appreciate the sacrifice of the military, but what if the cause is unjust? Or soldiers are ordered to do things that violate human rights?
Understand where you're coming from. I'm basing that on just cause of course and free will of just cause.
Juice; the military has not been "protecting freedom" since maybe WW2. Conflicts since then have been politically motivated, nothing more.
