I'll stick to chicken, fish and beef and even then I'm picky about what it is. I tried escargots in April and I nearly threw up. You all are brave for trying different meats :-)

Tastes great fried with hush puppie breading. Reminds me of snake meat.

I like chicken taste/texture. I've tried Gator, Frog Legs & Turtle. They all have a common flavor, Amphibious! YUCK! The rubbery & scallop-like texture didn't help! I could almost smell the formaldehyde from science class. Not for me, at all.

Tried alligator jerky but it was way too spicy.

I wouldn't say "No way!"; I just haven't every had it. Not sure the often-commented chewiness appeals to me, though.

It's yummy. Tastes somewhat like chicken but has texture closer to scallops. Acadiana restaurant in San Antonio is a good place to have gator nuggets.

Kinda chewy. What I had really didn't have much flavor at all but it could depend on the chef and the way the cook it.

It was my favorite snack whenever I would go to Charlie's in Orlando

This is probably solely a Florida thing...

Chewy and tasty when fried and served with a spicy dipping sauce.
