The one who believes it can be overcome. The optimist.

Psychologically, those who choose to see things from a more positive worldview consistently look for solutions to problems & expect things to eventually get better even when they suck @ the moment. Optimist.

A pessimist, almost by definition, has given up on handling adversity, or has gone even further to turn everything in life into adversity. Optimists, by definition, are those who don't let a little thing like adversity get in their way .

I say a pessimist's natural habitat is adversity, and they take to it like a fish to water.

I say an optimist's natural habitat is turning adversity around without getting pulled down into it.

Yet they still must change adversity to process it.

They don't need to change it, they accept it as a necessary part of life and a learning experience, gain what they can from it, and move on, still happy and smiling, looking forward to the next big challenge.

An optimist has a happy life and everything is always a letter batter and easier for him

It has nothing to do with pessimism or optimism, just with ability to deal with adversity, which is a separate trait all together. There are incompetent pessimists and incompetent optimists. It is unrelated.

A pessimist might say they're already prepared for adversity because they expect it, but the optimist is more likely to find positive solutions to problems and not see adversity as unavoidable and irreversible. So optimism wins in the long run.
