Not after the accident of 2009 -- one fell over and I got hit in the face with it. it was a big one too. I went to the ER. so....... no thanks. hahaha

All fireworks are banned in my county. We went up to watch shows across the Denver metro area from a high point instead.

It's illegal in New York but we visit my uncle at his island camp (still in New York) and he shoots off a bunch. Haven't had any problems with the law yet, lol. :)

I live in AZ. we've had enough tragedy from wildfires recently from lightning. I wouldn't want to risk it. Not to mention the fact that it is illegal in most places because we are a dry DESERT!

We have a funeral on the 9th for an entire Hot Shot squad of 19 that died in that fire.^

I totally agree. It is so dry in this state that anything could start another fire.

What is the forth of July without fireworks? I've lit them every year since I could walk.

The idiots ruined it for the rest of us -_- my family used to light fireworks, and we were cautious and smart about it. The idiots still set off fireworks even though they are illegal where I live.

Where I live, that almost happened. There were people lighting those illegal fireworks that shoot into the sky and all fireworks almost got banned where I live.

I use to think that not lighting fire works was unamerican I guess I was sadly mistaken. This result is very depressing. Well I'm going to be lighting earth shaking fireworks this year to make up for this.

You are in error! In the S. F. Bay Area we have just TWO cities that still allow SAFE AND SANE fireworks-(nothing leaves the ground!)- we light them right in front of our house in the street.

Happy 4th to everyone!

My wife won't let me near any fireworks anymore, not since my sons and I caused $43,000 in damages to our garage in July 2002. Sigh.

I will be enjoying the wonderful Austin Symphony under the stars while fireworks light up the sky!!!! considering I have started 3 kitchen fires while trying to boil water, it's best to let fireworks be handled by professionals!
