Should I buy the federalist papers? My problem is I really hate the Federalist Party and Alexander Hamilton and I'm worried the book will annoy me to no end. What do you think?
They must be available for free on line. then if you don't like them you'll have gotten your money's worth.
Why not, James Madison helped write it, and he was the main author of the constitution and was a Jeffersonian democrat
Sounds like you have too much time on your hands.
Sounds like you're right
Buy it, read it, keep it around for reference.
Skinner, go for it. You should try to understand all sides if the political spectrum even though you disagree with it.
Knowledge is power.
It will probably strengthen your opinions. Never hurts to try.
Consider an audio version. Downpour is a great, reasonable, audiobook source. I've avoided audiobooks for ages, but they offer a free classic download ec month & that's how they got me hooked. Now I've probably got 200+ in Wishlist & a dozen on iPod.
It won't hurt... I'm gonna read it before I take AP government
Hey I'm taking that next year too!
Oh wow that's funny!
The federalist papers are garbage. Torrent that shit. Don't waste $
They just irritate the shit out of me. The exact opposite of Jeffersonian Democracy.
That's what I was worried would be in it, a bunch of aristocratic nonsense
Jefferson was a fan of the Federalist papers...
Thomas Jefferson called them "best commentary on the principles of government which ever was written."
Ummm uhhh..learning is fun?
Do not do something that will just annoy you - that's like the definition of insanity isn't it????
I don't know if it will annoy me or not, I'm just concerned it will. Next year I'm taking AP government and I've had people encouraging me to read it.
You don't have to agree with it to want to learn about it.
They should be required reading for anyone who wants to vote.
What's with people on this app and wanting to condition voting on something??
I think agreeing on conditions for voting should be a condition for voting
