"Don't sweat the small stuff." Is this good advice?

We found that as parents, if you take care of the small stuff as it happens, it almost never turns into something big. I don't really sweat it, I just take care of it.

I life not everything needs to be sweated but in algebra it's the dry oaks that kick you butt. So in class we do sweat it!!

People used to always express that to me, and I never understood it until I was placed in a position where everything was my responsibility - including fixing my employees' mistakes. I was taught at that moment that almost every mistakes that you do

Can and will be fixed. I still get myself worked up over the occasional thing, but for the most part I have come to the understanding that if it happens, it happens. You learn how to fix it, remember it for the future, and move on.
