All the time! In Europe all of the beaches are topless. When we were teenagers we spied on a nude beach thinking it would be funny but it was disturbing more than anything, everybody was fat and old and just needed to be dressed STAT
My bestie and I hit up the local "clothing optional" beach Saturday afternoon. Way less sketchy than I expected. And it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be either. Going again Wednesday with my new roommate.
A repost OF my very recent comment to a rand2016 poll ? "Topless ok in NYC" I suggested rand Not live in EUR
Even 20-30yrs ago we'd go to local community pool/spa. Mon-Coed nude nite Tues-Ladies only. Wed-nude family day. Coast of Spain nude beaches.
Old women rinsing their pits & t_t's in ocean.
Nude is everywhere & not often pretty. Just normal human bodies & no big deal. Uncomfortable when someone ("typical Americans") make it so by ogling. Nude/topless mag ads. Nothing dirty & nobody cares.
On accident. There's a really nice, non-populated beach in town, but it's right next to the nude beach. My friend and I accidentally wandered there one day. Fortunately, there was just one guy and it was very, very foggy.
Technically. In the Italian countryside, all beaches are clothing optional. I opted to keep mine. The most disturbing site was actually an ~80 year old man running in his speedo...
Sylt, Germany. No need to be self conscious, no matter your shape. There are a lot of gorgeous people there - and a lot of not so gorgeous people there. You actually get used to the freedom in about a minute, but here's nowhere to sit comfortably.
While I was in Mexico, the fiancé and I visited one. I was too chicken to take my bathing suit off and we left. Maybe in the future if I ever go to another one, I'll be brave enough to try it!
