How many hours are you willing to drive before you would rather just fly?
I'll drive up to about 6 hours. More than that, I fly.
I'd rather drive than fly.
I drive home because flying into Montana is painfully expensive. That's 11+ hours. I also drive to see my best friend, that trip was 15, followed by two days of 13 each to get to my brother... Moral of the story: I like driving.
I love to drive, but I think if it's nine hours or more, I'm flying!
I would say 5, I already have 1/2 hr to the airport and then parking etc. If the flight includes a connection or other inconveniences I will add to that.
I will simply add up the time and calculate the difference.
Up to 8 hrs? Hell no im flying once it gets to 5
Actually I'm with you. I'm in the north east of California and I won't drive any further than San Fran
I would always rather drive.
If I don't have a time constraint I would prefer to drive no matter how far. Things to see and do along the way.
Anything on land. I'm afraid of airports.
For me it isn't drive length because I love a long drive, but rather how many days will I be gone.
There is no amount because I can't hate flying. I would always rather drive.
*Because I hate flying
10 hours is my limit.
I would always rather just fly. But I can't afford to do it as often as I would prefer to, of course.
My hubby drove from Edmonton, Alberta, to Freehold, New Jersey, in four days. I've driven from Jersey to Chicago in two.
I've driven to FL, I've driven to MA, I've driven to TX, and I've driven to Canada. The road trip can be half the fun! And sometimes I have to bring things with me that can't go on the plane.
I'm willing to drive as far as one state outside of Texas, otherwise I fly. UNLESS it's a planned multi day, sight seeing road trip where the driving is part of the adventure :)
