I do a quick cost-benefit analysis just about every time I spend over a few hundred bucks, but frugal implies cheap to me. The word runs counter to my general policy of needing every toy that looks like it might be fun.

When it's in my best interest to be such, yes. But in general, no. I am willing to take risk with my money.

We make sure we save but we also see money as a means to experience the world...so not really.

My dad use to tell me when he was giving me money as a kid when I'd try to be frugal -"its my job to give it to you & its your job to have fun with it. If you don't spend it all,then you didn't have enough fun & that isn't a bargain at any price."
