Do holy relics like the arc of the covenant and the holy grail exist? (not implying that they have powers, only that they are physically real)
I'm going to say that the arc DID exist. There are many documents outside of the Torah/bible that talk about it.
I would imagine they might exist somewhere. Was a very interesting show about the Ark of the covenant that it traveled to Africa there is the tribe that speaks Hebrew and traces its roots back to Moses.
Wow, how did they know it traveled that far? I don't believe in god so idk how they could of had it all fancy and such but very cool.
Why? What's the difference to you?
Actually, what is the ark again?
The ark was assembled in China, but was designed in California.
Yes but we're using their devices so technically we can't complain much.
The arc of the covenant Held the original copies of the 10 Commandments it was a large box layered allover with gold. It had angels on top that bent forward so that their wings were touching. One was not to touch the arc it was holy.
In the temple it was behind the curtain in alcove called the holy of holy's. One priest could go back there once a year. When Jesus died on the cross the curtain the divided the holy of holy's from the rest of the temple. Was ripped in two
Thus God was so longer separate from His people. When the temple was destroyed by roaming and 20 AD the arc disappeared.
I think they did exist, I think they have since been destroyed or lost now.
Well, you never know........
They may still exist, but I don't think they hold any special powers. The grail is just a cup and probably was broken at some point(I mean, it wasn't the only cup he drank out of), and I think the presence of God left the ark when the veil was torn.
May be but it was the LAST cup he drunk out of. Big difference apparently.
It's very possible that they did in some form or other, at some point in history, but the majority of them probably will never be found.
I was watching Indiana Jones the other day. Best. Movies. Ever. Perfect for male action movie lovers, and history buffs like myself. I just love the fact that it's mainly historically accurate, and funny, and AWESOME!!!
Hitler actually had a fascination with these and other arts. Same with Himmler. He actually searched for these objects and believed in their powers. Fascinating stuff.
I just saw that movie last week! And I am neither a male action movie lover or history buff. Which is probably why I didn't like it :P
Ha! Yup, probably. Which one, or what was the location/relic? I watched the one with the holy grail.
Something about a skull. Diamond skull or something like that. I'm just not that into action movies.
Crystal skull. I don't the titles and a cocaine them with the movies. I like it for both the action and the history. Great movies.
Rofl!! Cocaine??? Damn you auto correct and my stupid keyboard covering the screen. I meant to say I can't associate the titles with the plots.
Well uh pipes I'm not sure what you've been up to in Mass but uh...
No coke up here. Sorry. If you want some, I bet there is plenty in the inner city of dc.
True, northeast is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
That also means IM only a hop away from you. Muahahaha. Did you watch the latest SOH on air.
You live in northeast? Pipes I never would've expected this from you...
Not yet. I'll start up my laptop right now and get on it!
Emma, Carrie, and slxplvs were all together in austin, talking to tony, zod, and one other guy who I don't know his username, could u imagine a SOH get together, omg. Hahahahahahahaha. It's like our sarcastic humor, times 20,000
Haha that's so cool!! I just started watching it. Oh gosh pipes if we got on it it would be a disaster...
It would just be talking and arguing off topic. Tony might have to ban us.
But It would make for a good funny video.
Haha true. We'd just be talking about witches and crystal skulls and our social security numbers...
Well whats wrong with talking about that. *cue rlands telling me her ss number.
Great. Next thing I know some 15 year old from central mass is going to be running around with my identity.
HA! Yeah wouldn't that be fun...
Very fun, especially for the investigator to connect the pieces of the puzzle. "what the heck is show of hands? What are pipes? Where is this land?" haha
Ha yeah hat would be weird...
