When you work, are you more like a tortoise (slow and steady, lots of stamina) or a hare (fast in bursts, but requiring more breaks)?
Fast with no breaks.
Not slow and steady, but I don't really take breaks either. I basically strap in in the morning and don't move far from my seat until I leave.
Both...? I just want to get it done.
It's not a sprint it's a marathon
I work quickly with no breaks. But I usually only have 4-6 hour shifts.
I get bursts of energy. During those bursts, I'm very focused and can practically move mountains. Then I need a short break before starting all over again.
Quality over quantity for most of the time, but I guess it depends. Not many breaks either way..
Being a bartender, I try and finish before the drunks that try and have weird conversations with me come.
A hare with no breaks.
Like a hare, but I don't get breaks.
Except, I don't break.
A hare without breaks
Hurry through ur shift so u can put it on chill mode for the rest of the day
I work by the hour and fast, something must be wrong with me.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Fast, steady, lots of stamina.
I'm more like an ass. I can do all the work no problem I'm just lazy and hard headed.
Neither, working for the railroad there's only one speed. Full throttle all day. Maybe taking a 30 min lunch in a 10 hour day.
I think that I inspired this one!
I like this analogy. Some days the tortoise, some days the hare.
I work in the kitchen at a nursing home, and work never flows at a constant pace. I'm either busting my butt to get stuff done, or I'm sitting on my butt with nothing to do. There's never a happy medium.
I tend to be fast, but slow to make sure I don't make mistakes
All fast with no breaks. Not sure what kind of animal that is... Tiger Shark?
Hummingbird? Ants? Fish.
Slow, steady, lots of breaks and an afternoon nap. It's a geezer thing.
Definitely a tort... (takes a break) hare.
There is no slow in my job
I'm typically finished with my assignment within 3 hours after clocking in.
Love my job, love my life!
Is there a middle option?
IM NOT FROM UTAH WHY DOES IT KEEP SAYING THAT! I'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO UTAH!
It says California
Yeah I just figured out how to change it
I can do either, depending on the circumstances.
Ha! I just posted this a week or so ago.
Bust A$$ when I start and just maintain slow and steady the rest of the day.
Definitely a mixture of the 2. I don't take a lot of breaks but I'm not too slow either.
There should be a third answer on this one. I want to finish my work as fast as possible. I feel like once I get a break I end up slowing down altogether. So I prefer just to work all day through. Honestly
I'm like a combo of the 2. I work really fast and really accurate but I don't really need a lot of breaks
I'm also like the opposite, except I work slow and need more breaks... I think I'm just lazy actually.
In my job you have to be fast and accurate. Do it wrong and people my get hurt.
I work quickly and accurately, and I usually skip my break so I can go home 20 minutes earlier.
I'm very efficient. I work hard until I am where I need to be.
Studying for final exams is not a good situation for a hare.
Actually, I'm a mixture of both. I'm fast and don't usually need a break.
I actually just got done working 13.5 hours with no break.
Wow....that sounds awful.
It wasn't too bad. I have gotten use to working long shift. I think of myself more as a machine, than a tortoise.
Like if the terminator had a day job? Because that's what I'm picturing.
I like the sound of that erscopew.
In the morning I'm a turtle, but once I get some coffee in me I turn into a hare. Once u get momentum I usually work through the day. Coffee is just a kickstart.
I'm a tortoise who takes a lot of breaks.
Hare... But no breaks. Not even really aloud one.
Allowed... Sorry ☺
We in CT work too damn hard. Have to be fast ~ accurate ~ and not really allowed breaks. Hmmm
You're usually legally allowed a 10 minute break if you work up to six hours, and a lunch after 6 hours. You should check on that.
Not if you are basically required to waive your break every time you punch in .. And even if you don't you're still not getting one most likely. Ever work in a restaurant?
Hare. Usually I will work about 40-45 minutes in a burst, take a 15-20 min unwind, and then dive back in for another burst until my job is done. Usually I get work done early & have time for free training from my office, currently doing photoshop
When I still worked I hated taking breaks. Too much trouble, too much opportunity for error, too much fun missed while away. I'd never have taken a break if they didn't make me.
I teach aerobics one cannot be a tortoise and teach aerobics.
My job requires me to be the hare.
I usually *takes break* am super fast *takes break* at commenting *takes break* on show of hands.
I have stamina for sure and I don't like to mosey along. Get it done.
