I vote for the least restrictive option. That is, the morally neutral route.

If there's an amendment banning gay marriage on the ballot and I vote against I'm not pushing my moral on others because it doesn't force them to do anything.

But you ARE pushing your morals on those that do not wish gay marriage in society.

If you honestly didn't want to force your morals choices onto others, you would not vote.
