{Inspired by @pikablue.} If someone doesn't fully mature by adulthood are the parents always to blame? (I'm excluding people with mental disabilities.)

In my experience, most are. The parents coddle the kids too much. They don't make them stand on their own two feet. I've seen this happen more than once -- different families, different generations.

I ask this because, I met my best friends SO, and he is the most immature person I've ever met. It just baffled me that a 21 year old could be so immature.

Ok so we went to an Italian restaurant. The whole time he would make fun of our server for being Mexican, and not Italian. On top of that he'd randomly grab a bred stick and act like its a sword. What unbearable was the whole time he'd laugh at everything I said, even when it wasn't funny.
