Lack of new replies makes me think that no one would see the answers if I posted them...

Everyone that correctly guessed the language gets 0.4 points!
Now I will tell you what language each one is!
(0.5 point value for correct translations now)

So far I have no idea for any of them!

No clue. Except the first word, which doesn't count. (I'm suddenly reminded of overhearing a conversation among Chinese colleagues, which went: "something something something something couch potato something something something." I cracked up.)

I have no idea, but I think it's Polish. Do you give partial points for recognizing the language?

Al final, es no los años de su vida que cuenta, es la vida en tus años.

In the end, it's not the [number of] years in your life that matter, it's the life in your years.

(If?) you (something) neither a battery nor (something) a (something), blah blah blah, why not?

German. I can tell that, at least.

There will be a hint later...
But the point value will be set to 0.5 if you do not answer before then...
FEAR NOT!
The next one is a bit easier...

Transliterating: O pio gregoros tropos, metatzu duo semeion einai mia eutheia gramme.

Don't really recognize anything except possibly roots of tropical, two, gregarious, euthanasia?

FrozenPhoton Behind the Shadows

See if you can understand the above sentences. Post what you think each says, THEN translate it electronically (or wait until I post the right answers) do not post the electronically translated sentences.
Can you get at least two right?

susanr Colorado

I'll post what I think the 2nd one is, but then it will appear below the test question, & others will see it at about the same time they see the test question. I think that might affect your results, even if people don't intend it.

Sure! Then I might be misleading someone in the wrong direction. I'm not saying anyone would look intentionally, just that it's almost impossible not to notice & I think that might influence someone. Doesn't matter of course; it's just for fun.
