Idiotic amendment. It could easily be used as a litmus test for people who understand governments and those who do not. Think it's a good idea? You have no clue as to what you're talking about.
We do have SOME "power" just or enough to say it without quotation marks. If more people A) voted and B) were well informed on EVERYTHING relevant prior to voting, then I think the little power we do have would go much much further
So you don't like voting Rebel, what's your brave. Alternative to democracy? I understand your frustration, perhaps this quote will help elaborate
"Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried." - Winston Churchill
So how about trying something new? Like a drastic and dramatic down sizing of government at all levels to the bare necessities. Yes, even your precious roads.
It's not that I don't like voting, in theory it sounds great and works well on small scales but when talking about national issues its useless. 50% of this country is pissed off at any given moment. This isn't working.
If like it a little bigger than that. but if you can make it a choice between that plan and the current system I would gladly advocate your risky minarchist idea.
Rebel, that's why I said that people need to be well versed on all relevant topics because you can always vote for a third party candidate and sometimes you can even write in a name that isn't even on the ticket
Then the question becomes what exactly is in an uninterpretable constitution, could separate but equal come back, could the most basic workers rights be ground to dust, the constitution is very subjective.
Nope. It seems like half of it is self-explanatory (we're supposed to listen to the constitution anyway) and the other half is taking the constitution much too farZ
