Have you had an argument with someone in the past 24 hours?
In the past 24 seconds
Does SOH "discussions" count? Some out there get pretty intense. Just remember, arguing with some folks is like kicking a skunk, short term gratification followed by long term isolation.
Yes destroyed a Christian in a scientific argument
Yeah, I bet God was really intimidated.
Lmao sure Jan
Ongoing daily arguments with my💞wife of 53yrs. Thank goodness, we have Google to settle 95% of them👍🏻
Playfully. So no not really.
Kids and grandkids (teenagers) daily. Lol
Cloudy, rain off and on, temp moderately hot, dog dint even want out, **ck it.
I solved it by doing nothing.
Douche bag levels are high today..
Yep I married
Married people don't have to argue daily. Lol.
No. Resisted the invitation this morning to try one more time to explain to the difference between expression and repression to someone so deliberately and willfully ignorant the only way to win or even avoid the argument is to choose not to have it in the first place.
I bet you had the angriest repression on your face after that convo
I'm not gay, but I know scientifically people are born attracted to one gender, both, or the other, so I got into a 10 minute long argument with another kid on wether being gay was a choice,
I hope you got through to him.
Just minor bickering but nothing serious
It was about whether goats or sheep are better. It got way too serious... There were death threats made...
It's pretty obvious. Goats.
My vote is for goats too..
Somebody should make a poll about this. Just sayin...
Baa baa baa. Oh wait, I'm not a liberal anymore!
I've been happily argument free since my last relationship ended. Its just not worth it.
I rarely argue. Discussions usually resolve the issue.
My dad. Trying to reason with people with dementia is not easy.
I have an argument with my mom almost every day. It's all in good fun tho.
I was a witness to / mediator of an agreement within the past 72 hours, but I try to not argue that much myself.
No, I try to avoid arguments as much as I can.
It's not an argument, it's simply me correcting someone who is wrong.
As long as I don't bring up anything with even a hint of controversy at home, it's tolerable. I walk a tightrope.
Had a huge one last night. It got close to breaking off a five year relationship. 😬
Damn, what about?
She has been rather controlling lately over some personal stuff within our relationship. So I tried to start the conversation approaching it as kindly as possible, but we both got really heated and my yelling went a little to far and then she was throwing some shoes. Good times I tell ya.🙄
"Who throws a shoe? Honestly!"
I threw plates once. At a wall. They were thrift store plates, though. I think the wall suffered the most.
And then I grew up.
Lol my mom used to throw all sorts of stuff when her and my dad would fight. I still can't figure out why she was throwing her shoe at me though.
Damn, that was another quote, Coffee, and you even made it obvious. Again.
I am culturally deprived. Seriously. Not that that's a good excuse when you're given quote marks.
Ha. Yep. It's from Austin Powers...unless it's from something before that and he was just parodying it
Yeah... I've never seen that.. Don't really watch to much tv or movies.
The first one was good. It's basically a parody of James Bond movies
Do arguments on SOH count?
Do you think they do? If so then I think they don't. And vice versa
Depends on whether there's steam coming out of your ears and nostrils. Or even smoke. Or you're drooling. Or you throw your phone at the wall.
I'm married, I have at least one argument every 24 hrs.
Exactly. Married life demands daily arguments. Yesterday's was about the quality of potatoes I put on the Shepherd's pie I baked for dinner. The wife demands skinned potatoes and I mash them skins and all.
Potato skins are delicious. I side w you.
Leaving skins on mashed potatoes is grounds for divorce.
I had a slight disagreement with Harry the cat. Harry won. Harry almost always wins.
Is Harry an orange cat, by any chance?
Orange cats always win, in my experience.
They do. We've had three. Present Orange is Sparky who I found under a parked car in an underground parking lot three years ago. Harry is gray and white, 18 pounds. We found him abandoned in an RV park near Tupelo,MS. Scrawny little guy then. Named him after the local vet who gave him his first checkup. Harry loves Sparky though and vice-verse. So maybe it's the influence....
My daughter has an orange cat, Elwood. He's a rescue. He's one of the most entertaining cats I've known. He's interested in everyone and everything, and likes to help do anything - to the point that he's obnoxious, and he scares large dogs. He's the only cat I know who likes to play iPad games and watch YouTube videos of birds & squirrels, & watch basketball on TV. He's taken over my daughters office chair, and likes to be spun in it.
Wonderful! They can be full of wonder. Alert and aware in a way that amazes. I used to have a cat like that in Oakland,CA. Her name was Emma Peel. She was a tuxedo though.
Tuxedos are another interesting type. The tuxedo in my profile pic (one of the cats I housesit for pretty often) is one of my all-time favorite cats. I think of him as a "working" cat. He deals with rodents in his neighborhood, is pretty self-sufficient, seems to think he's a dog, and occasionally turns very affectionate - both with humans and with his owners' dogs. He's getting on in years, and I will miss him terribly when the inevitable happens.
I have a pure white cat on my lap, purring. Her name is Camille.
I'd love to have cats (and maybe a dog) of my own - I haven't had any since 1989, when my last cat, a tiny feisty Siamese, died. But that would severely curtail my housesitting ability, and I really love doing it - both for the critters, and the house and its location and fabulous view.
I know what you mean. House-sitting in such a beautiful area is a great gig. We have ten cats and four dogs. Most are elderly, taking meds and special diets. I can't go anywhere. They're my soft and furry anchors keeping me from drifting.
Ps. Susan, We have a cat named Susan too. She has thumbs (polydactyl). Small, dark tabby with a Betty Boop personality.
Wow! That a lot to take care of! You need a house sitter like me.
And I love the mental image you've given me of your Susan cat.
They all have their own personalities. Makes for easier communication.
Live in help would be nice . But first one of my sons would have to move out.
I ALREADY TOLD YOU! 😡
This user is currently being ignored
I fight with my friends all the time, sooooo😂
I do not remember the last time I was in an argument with ANYone, for ANY reason. It might be years. I'm just not the argumentative type. Anyone who ever thought it was a good idea to not agree with me, was never my problem.😝
I believe it. I can't imagine you arguing with anyone
I must admit that living solo for many years helps with not having to live daily life with anyone else who might eventually have a different idea than me! But still, I just don't like giving energy to being argumentative. Kills my spirit, man!☺️
Only my wife
Only online, and relatively minor.
Otherwise, I haven't even seen or talked to another human being since Thursday. Except to holler "Thanks" to the neighbor who was sweeping our common front entrance.
I'm on SOH so yea.
I have two brothers, so yea, kinda.
Trying to educate people with the mental disorder known as Liberalism, yes.
Trying and failing because of the lack of evidence!
Good luck. !
I know... It's a losing battle with the willfully ignorant.
I'm listening to Chris Plante. He will make you smile. He's on WMAL in DC but you can listen to him on the internet. Truth and humor.
Soh? Yeah. Real life? No. Been a while
Probably. I'm a very argumentative person.
I disagree, I don't think you are
I don't either. I'm frankly amazed at how patient you've been with me all these threads :).
I was just trying to argue 😜
Oops, sorry. Carry on, gents.
Yup on soh
Not really. I don't know SoHing counts, but it's been longer than a day for that too.
Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries
The streak is over! I DISAGREE!!!!
...and there was much rejoicing...
"Is there someone else up there we can talk to?"
Come back tomorrow and I'll taunt you again!
I have many little ones at all hours of the day or night...kids :p.
