When someone says "Fascist" what do you think? An evil ideology or simply misunderstood?
Why not both? I do think all authoritarian ideologies are evil, but when someone uses the word fascist, I rarely think that this person has any clue what fascism is.
There are so much different forms of Fascism and most people think of the worst kinds of Fascism when they think about Fascism
Hitler hated Commies and was a fascist.
Fascism would work with a good leader, like Trump!
Oh hell no
Trump isn't fascist. More along the lines of a Julius Caesar.
I think misunderstood due to propaganda brainwashing.
I think authoritarian, not evil.
Ah, yeah but I put evil because many seem to equate authorianism as a bad thing.
I think of Hitler or Stalin when the word fascist comes up
Neither were Fascist.
Hitler I can understand, WW2 propaganda trying to make Hitler and Mussolini look the same. But Stalin was an Authoritarian Socialist.
Hitler is generally agreed to be a Fascist
Hitler was a National Socialist. His views were inspired by Fascism, but he was not a Fascist.
Generally agree by who? He never called himself a Fascist. Nazism is a separate ideology from Fascism that focuses on race instead of culture and/or ethnicity. Nazism replaces the Fascistic Struggle of Nations with the National Socialist Struggle of Race.
Nazism is a form of extreme radical fascism. School history books usually have this statement in it. "The nazi party of Germany was an extreme radical fascist party..." Something like this.
Lmao, Fascism is already a radical ideology. That's like saying radical communism. There is no non-radical communism.
