If I'm grumpy or depressed or sad, I try to listen to upbeat music to get me in a better mood. I only listen to slow music when I'm trying to sleep or want to relax.

I have a passion for music. I listen to it to change my mood. I listen to certain songs depending on my mood.

I actively use music to alter my mood. I'll start with something that matches my current mood and transition slowly to something more upbeat or happy. It works wonders. :)

Yeah, I identify a lot through music. Usually I'll start to feel better though—I love music so much and can't help it. I won't only listen to solemn tunes. Music is an awesome release. Listen and let it all go.

I have a soundtrack for every mood complete with playlist and offline access. Gotta have it! The funny thing is that many songs tend to span playlists. My party playlist and my workout playlist are virtually interchangeable.

That just seems weird to me. If I'm feeling down, the solution is to listen to music that makes it impossible to stay sad. Howling and singing along to Werwolves of London or Honkey Tonk Women cranked up to eleven works every time.

Whenever someone was dying I always played "Black Peter" and "Death Don't Have No Mercy," both by the Grateful Dead (never noting the irony of the group's name until just now).

except they leave the L out. Our little boy loves the "I am a Nut" song. I believe some of the songs are as old as the colonial times. Some of the songs my grandpa sent to me.

No I put happy music on when I'm down. I got a CD of children's songs for when we have the grandkids. The songs are so uplifting pretty soon, I become that way too. The "No L"Song, is the alphabet song sung to the first Noel.

If I'm really feeling sorry for myself, I'll listen to sad music. But if I'm genuinely sad I do one of two things 1) listen to reggae (Three Little Birds is the perfect song) or 2) turn on the Spanish radio station; their songs are always so..fiesta!

Unfortunately, yes. I find myself absorbed into the world which is created by these songs. I identify with them, most of the time. Sadly, though, they provide no alleviation of the feelings associated with the song(s). I was wondering if I was the

I do the exact opposite. If I feel cruddy, listening to solemn music makes me feel worse.
I listen to Al Green's Love & Happiness and all my troubles melt away for a few minutes.
