Have you heard of the new theme park: The Ark Encounter, or do you have plans to visit it?
Brought to you by PT Barnum and Donald Trump. 🎄
No. I watched a YouTube video, tour. It's too commercial. Still wondering how they fit every animal in there. Seems impossible. Also, if every other land animal was killed in the flood and the continents came into there modern day positions, how did the animals populate the rest of the world?
Because the continents were once connected. After the flood, they came apart.
A lot of works of God seem impossible. That's why they're miracles.
There's also a large theological debate about the wording. Every animal vs every kind. I don't know much about it other than that, but there is a lot of info about an answer to your question.
I just feel it's more of a lesson filled story.
@DSH the breaking apart of the continents is believed to have happened 175 million years ago. So it occurred well before the Ark.
It can be lesson filled and factually accurate
We differ on that. Not believing it to be factually accurate for me, doesn't take away the big picture.
I get that, I'm just saying that it can be both. If you believe in other miracles of the Bible, why not this one? You don't have to answer, it's just part of my reasoning
I respect it. You give good perspective. I feel like I'm so far from where I was with my faith. ☹️
Doesn't mean that God is far! He's as close as ever
Mrscrayonwax, the earth is 6000 years old. The Bible also says that the earth was divided in the days of Peleg, a few generations after the flood. This would have been plenty of time for humans and animals to migrate.
I believe the earth is older. Christians have disagree over it for millennia. Doesn't make the focus different.
Yes, we're going in late September, and I'm as excited as Disney World! It will be tremendously educational, and absolutely factually correct.
Ha ha ha ha, thanks for the laugh.
You should come with us. I have a hunch they'd pay you handsomely to be in an exhibit on how far we've fallen since Noah. 😃
I appreciate the offer, but I've read the story and there is nothing Ken and his group could add that would make it any less ridiculous.
It sounds interesting, but I doubt I'll get to Kentucky to see it.
Yes I've heard of it
No I have no plans to go
Well I've heard of it, no plans to visit
I love learning about the ark! I'll probably visit it next summer.
It has unicorns, people. UNICORNS!!!!!
A rhinoceros is a unicorn, genius.
