Are you a Leader or a Follower?
I like to lead, but if I can't no sweat. I like to analyze the situation then decide the best way to accomplish my goal. Usually it means leading, but other times it pays to just follow along.
Fair enough, a good mix of both then.
Neither. I walk my own path.
We've got a hipster over here.
I follow Jesus. I lead others. 😃
What ever religion makes you happy.
I think liar would have been the better option for all these so called leaders.
I don't think really either. I don't like to lead, but I don't really like being told what to do.
Mix of both then.
I prefer non-hierarchical decision making :P typical response from an anarchist.
I am both a leader and a follower, depending on the situation.
Oftentimes, it is more important to allow someone to lead you than it is to lead. Recognizing those situations and making way for better leadership is not only selfless, it's also efficient and better for everyone.
I don't make a good leader. At least, I wasn't a particularly good supervisor (28 people, over 3 shifts, 7 days/week, doing about 8 different jobs, for 8 years). More of a loner, working well with others off and on.
That's good. I use to be the same way. An observer really.
I was an assistant drill sergeant in the military and the platoon hated me because I made drills very real.
I played an injured combatant for example and made myself very heavy and limp.
This got me brownie points with superiors 😏
I was too soft, as a supervisor. Too hard for me to be critical of employees. I know it has to be done for their benefit (as well as patients' benefit - that was in a hospital lab). I'm much more critical of myself.
On one occasion, I led the platoon into battle. I was an APC gunner and the commander of the APC feigned a heart attack.
I took over com and led the platoon to take out PAK anti tank guns.
We left none standing. 😎
Ha. I served in the military, well kinda. I was part of the An Garda Síochána, the Irish border guard for 4 years, almost right after coming out of High School.
@susanr: I'm sometimes quite narcissistic.
It can help but I've also been accused of overbearing arrogance at work, so it's not always a good thing.
@Ginger: border guard certainly counts.
I'm hardly a follower. I rarely do something just because everyone else does it.
That's good. I'm the same way. I spend way to much time thinking about reality and this world that I have found myself to be much more of what Plato called a "Philosopher King".
Definitely not a follower.
If I'm in a group, I'm usually the first to make a suggestion when it's about what to do, and if people are undecided, I'll try to convince.
Stay that way. We need more leaders in the world.
Lad, quick question. How do you ride up out of standard user? Is it a time thing, a certain number of posts, ect?
You either have to pay to become a power user or have a sponsor.
I was very surprised when someone upgraded me 😎
I don't know who but have ideas.
A big shout *🙌* to whoever sponsors me.
Definitely a follower 90% of the time.
It really depends.
On. School projects, I'm a follower because I don't give a damn. But with something that interests me, I would be the main guy to give ideas.
Ha right on.
