There's a lot of chatter today about the Republican Party pulling Trump out of the presidential race. Do you think it is possible that they will replace Trump?

He's a total goof but his supporters would riot, with reason, if he were pulled.

We call this wishful thinking. Not that he's going to be pulled, but that there's chatter that he's going to be pulled. That is itself wishful thinking.

I think it's wishful thinking. He's not going to leave without a fight.

Think the only reason he's running is to give Hillary the office.

No but he needs to learn you can't run a campaign on hyperbole. Probably his advisors are reeling but he won't listen.

I think he can be bought off and it should be considered. It's not a matter of him winning or losing anymore, he's toast and everyone but the mist delusional partisans realize that. Now it's a matter of how many people he takes down with him. He is an embarrassment and is making a mockery of the process and the remnants of the Republican Party. They are at risk of losing Congress as well as the White House, they need to make a stand.

I'm not partisan, but I think if either candidate thinks it's locked up, it could very well be their downfall. We can't underestimate the populist fervor, especially in states which have suffered under the outsourcing of jobs like Pennsylvania.

I agree Doc... if Dems think they have it and get lazy..... :O
Low voter turnout is always good for the Repub... which is why Repubs try very hard to prevent people from voting

It looks like the Dems are treating this as business as usual and not taking anything for granted. It's the GOP that's on the defensive right now.

I agree. For the moment the dems are on offense and ahead in the polls. But if they get cocky, they could definitely lose.

I doubt they can "pull" him. But f they can convince him to step down, I think they can replace him up until around Sept 1.

Anyone know the real date?

As little as I like him... I don't think it would be good to do...
But if they cut off funding which there is also talk of, they'd be giving up on the White House

He is generating funding and sharing with the RNC and he can fund himself

I don't think he can afford to fund himself... His wealth has been exaggerated and the expense of a presidential campaign is Huge....

He can afford it. He raised $80M in July
