I have been very critical of President Obama's feckless policies in the Near East, but to say that Obama is somehow complicit with Daesh would be absurd if it weren't such a dangerous lie. The suggestion that our commander-in-chief is a fifth column for a terror organization is wrong and beneath the dignity of anyone who would seek the office of President of the United States.
Because Obama started the nonsense in Iraq and Afghanistan before even running for the presidency? I always thought it was Cheney pulling GW's strings. Huh. Turns out Obama was the puppetmaster. Who knew?
HW (dad) the former CIA director turned president has the common sense not to invade and overthrow Baghdad after Desert Storm. Junior want to show him up and invades using 9-11 as a pretense. WMDs...free the Iraqis. Yeah, okay. The rest is history, 4,000+ Americans and more private contractors dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians dead, and trillions wasted.
W signs a withdrawal agreement. The draw down covers several years. Obama does not override the agreement when it's enacted in his term.
Like I have said before... STOP BLAMING OBAMA FOR EVERYTHING!!! We don't all agree with Obama but jeez.. this I'd over the top. Have some respect for our head executive and commander-in-chief!
No, he didn't. That was clearly a slip of the tongue, and the error was corrected in a transcript of the video. And even *if* he really meant it (which would have been totally idiotic), he didn't say that he *created* the group, he only referred to "speeding up training of forces."
Ha! You're so funny. YOU DIDN'T HEAR BARRY ADMITTING TO TRAINING ISIL!!!!!!
LALALALALALALA!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
πππππππππππ
Consider that his statement would be utterly outrageous, indefensible, stupid, nonsensical, if it was correct. There would have been major consequences.
Surprise: There weren't.
You really don't understand slips of the tongue?
You've never said anything wrong by mistake? I believe you've *typed* a few things wrong in the last 24 hours, and gone back to fix them. How is that any different? What if we held *you* to those statements? There was a real doozy a few days ago; one about mental disorders, if I recall correctly. Nobody held your feet to *that* fire. We all just smiled and moved on.
Have the grace to do that here, OK? Otherwise you just look like a big boob.
You got me rolling, Susan! ππππ Thanks! The fact that you sit there and say I didn't see and hear what I seen and heard takes monumental arrogance. Oh it must be rough telling people what they didn't see and hear all day... π
Proof that you can say anything....no matter how ridiculous....and as long as it comes from 'your' party.....there are dipshits that will believe it. Works both ways. It's painful to see.
The best part is that he doubled down on his comments, saying that he didn't mean the pullout led to the vacuum that created ISIS, but that Obama actually founded ISIS
" "I think I would say they created, they lost the peace. They created the Libyan vacuum, they created the vacuum into which ISIS came, but they didn't create ISIS. That's what I would say," Hewitt said.
"Well, I disagree," Trump replied, and Hewitt moved on. "
They're trying to give him outs, and he just won't take them.
If you want to use that angle then you can't blame the pullout. You have to blame the person responsible for putting us there in the first place. Good ol' GW.
Not true. A pullout was a different decision made by a different person. Obama is responsible for his own decisions. I agree that bush was wrong for the war in the first instance, but Obama did in fact govern.
W signed the US-Iraq Status Forces Agreement in 2008 that included the time table for withdraw. Obama had nothing to do with it other than be president when it went into effect.
Obama could have extended the deadline had he wanted. Do we not remember bush saying that it was a mistake to pullout and Obama defending the decision. Original timeframes in war are just estimates. The commander in chief can change them.
Sure, but an agreement with a sovereign nation would have been broken. They told us to leave. We had 2 choices, stay at further cost or leave and let the inevitable happen.
Navy or Air Force? Hummm. Which units are the ones responsible for destroying 1000 year old historical sites, running stolen oil, and beheading groups of Christians? That's the one that's the bigger deal.
Of course. But those types of things aren't new. Other groups have done it before them. As evil as they are, they are the JV team. As soon as Assad is out, they will be cleaned up. Until then, they're going to continue in their civil war.
Just like how the creation of the Taliban is partly responsible on George Bush as well. They funded rebels that got out of hand. Also, I remember Obama once stated they were speeding up the training of Isis forces.
Upon further research I was correct, the Obama administration via the CIA funded the free Syrian army, which later many members of that group helped spread Isis. So yes, Obama's foreign policy regarding terrorism is just as bad as both Regan's, and both Bushs. I'd place them all as major players in the founding of radical Islamic terrorist groups that we deal with today. Also, our "allies" Saudi Arabia and Isreal had a part in helping the formation of Isis as well. So in a way Trump is kinda correct.
