Am I missing something? The NBA pulls the All-Star game from North Carolina because of the bathroom laws. Yet, they play exhibition games in China (horrible human rights country) isn't that hypocritical?

It's the same way Apple takes a stand for what they believe human rights are and produce products through child labor at the same time.

Because I don't really care.. I don't really like basketball, and China is where most of our stuff is made. (Jk that isn't a real reason).

Of course, but there is a lot of $ at stake in China.....and $ trumps principle.

It's a little more complex than that. The NBA has to protect its employees. North Carolina is seen to be discriminatory when it comes to the LGBT community. That's a significant chunk of the NBA personnel- many WNBA players. If they're complaining- which many were- to management, what else were they going to do? It's sad though because the actual city of Charlotte was on their side.

No. It is strictly about money. They were afraid advertisers were going to boycott.

Extremely, but it has to do with foreign relations.
