I live in the sticks. Literally. Ok, well, they're logs, technically. :)
I gave up my big city life for cabin living. I came on vacation here and just knew I would move here one day...It took me three years to make it happen, but I did it!
Even though I was born on a farm and raised in a mostly rural area - I'm a city girl to my core. I will never live in a small town again, three years teaching in one was enough.
I already picked 18 months ago. We went to the sticks!!!! We've done the city thing and I much prefer being in the country. We have our land that we can do what we want with and great neighbors who aren't too close.
I'm a country girl - I like visiting the the city and the culture of said city, but I want to come back to the starry skies and quiet nights of the country
City. Actually Id love to move to a big city with a professional hockey team. I've already lived in the country and while I don't hate it, it was frustrating being so far away from stores and restaurants
I always thought I'd choose country until I moved to VT, where there is no city. Figured out pretty quickly, I need to at least be near a city. So city it is.
Since I don't drive, it had better be city. I've lived in downtownish areas of San Francisco, DC, Cincinnati. I like cities. I LOVED being up in the foothills here for 2 weeks recently, but not being able to go anywhere... wouldn't work.
The sticks. Somewhere where I can shoot 1,000 yards without five neighbors complaining about the noise or the path my bullet took through their house...
