If you had to sell something by the end of the day to keep from losing your job, would you tend more toward high pressure sales techniques, or soft sales techniques?
I would go to a pawn shop
Ill guilt them into it trust me. I had years of practice with my parents.
I don't do high pressure. That doesn't make people want to buy.
Ugh. At my old job we had to sell the company way and we were told to "overcome objections" if the customer said no. Sales is a very stressful job.
If I had that ultimatum put to me I would just quit right then and save the suspense.
The question is about which sales technique you'd turn to when you need fast results.
So, in the event that you really really need your job, and are unable to find any other job again ever, which method do you go with?
I think I'd go soft-sell. Kill em with sugar.
I'm a soft seller. If I needed to sell something to keep my job, I'd make my parents buy it :-))
Hard, but in a way that sounds soft.
I am one hell of a salesperson.
Honestly, you need a balance between both. You don't need to pressure people, you have to give them reasons to want the product and assure them that they will be satisfied, as long as you truly believe they will be. I love doing sales, the best...
...part is making people happy with their purchase. Knowing you made a good sale is important too, but that comes second. If you stand behind your product and believe in it, it will be a lot easier to sell.
Soft. I would be absolutely no good at hard sell, because I hate it so much, and I'm a terrible liar. If I couldn't do it through soft sell, I'd lose the job, but I wouldn't care. Well, until I needed to pay the rent or buy food.
Go hard or go home.
