Today at work I had a severe anxiety attack while meeting with a a student's parent. Do you have anxiety issues?
Yes I do. I get very nervous and probably talk way way way way too much. See!
I'm actually agoraphobic
I'm so sorry, Garrett. That had to be stressful. I've been fortunate not to have anxiety personally, but my husband and oldest son do. It amazed me to watch my son at the orthodontist this morning. He had to be numbed and have a small procedure done. His anxiety was obvious, but he let me hold his hand and talk him through. Dealing with anxiety takes a lot of courage.
Thank you. It was very stressful. I had to excuse myself and she looked very concerned. I pretty much disappeared for 10 minutes then came back and told her we would have to cut our meeting short. I felt awful because she took time out of her day. But I could barely bring myself to say words.
I do when I watch a very emotional anime.
I get that sometimes, I work as a tutor for my college, my job is to help students with work and problems they may have had in the past. I always get a anxiety attack when a student has had a rough past. It triggers me, I've had a rough past to, and I get triggered sometimes when dealing with students like that.
My anxiety is under control but three things trigger it.
1. Starting a new job
2. When a loved one is ill
3. 2 weeks postpartum
I was on medication for a couple of years or so but I was taken off a few years back because I was no longer experiencing major problems. That was one of the worse I've ever had. I felt so bad for the woman because she had no idea what to do.
I'm so sorry. are you ok now?
Yes I am okay now. Thanks for your concern.
