Many of our founding fathers (who championed freedom, justice, and liberty) also owned slaves. Could these men still be considered moral?
Pretty sure they treated their "slaves" way better than the democrats down south did
Actions are moral/immoral not people is the way I see it. Despite their wrong practices they did much to strive for what was right. So I say yes.

By the standards of the time, they were seen as moral. Today they would not be. The concept of what is or is not moral changes with time.
