Susan Collins of Maine is the latest high profile Republican to announce she won't be voting for Donald Trump. If Trump gets his act together and starts acting presidential, will these lawmakers get in line behind him?
I've seen a couple one-on-one interviews with Trump where he appeared much more together and soft spoken than on rallies, though admittedly the reporters threw him mainly softballs.
First nominating then abandoning undermines Rep credibility.
Susan Collins of Maine is who probably should have been the GOPer nominee. She seems to have way too much integrity to be fooled by a superficial change of tone from the Cheeto Jesus at this point.
I've always had respect for her, which probably means most Republicans these days would call her a RINO.
I'd like to think there's still time, but I think if he actually apologized and turned it all around they'd still line up behind him, regardless of everything he's said.
Oops, I meant I'd like to think it's too late.
It's too late. These people knew a long time ago. I bet even some that say they will support or endorse or whatever will not really vote for him.
Man, I hope you're right. I can't actually believe enough people would vote for him to get him elected, but I also didn't actually believe he'd get the nomination.
RJ's right. The fix was in a long time ago. Trump will vote for Clinton too.
