DEBATE: do you think the moderator is remaining impartial in his approach with each candidate?
He was useless as tits on a bull. But u guess he was impartial in his worthlessness
What a piss poor job!
Terrible job. He's framing questions around Obama not the issues
moderator fed Obama some lines when he was frazzled.. but he soon became irrelevant
I was very impressed with the moderator. He was extremely professional and fair.
Was there a moderator at this debate? ????
After the PBS comment...
Why is SOH stating the obvious?! ????
He seemed to try to help Obama a couple of times. And Obama did suggest "you might want to move on to the next question..." in a difficult moment.
The moderator seemed impartial but he had about as much control over this debate as the replacement refs had over the Packers vs. Seahawks football game.
The moderator seemed incompetent.
Romney was so rude. I believe the moderator knows who to vote for now.
The moderator seemed impartial to the candidates, but Obama was repeatedly ignoring that his time was up. He spoke over 10% more than Romney did for the entire debate. The moderator wasn't going to yell at the president to stop simply because he's the president.
He did have that constant smirk that makes him seem that way.
BchStUSA - I couldn't agree more. Romney can't help come across as an A$$...!
Itjust depends which network you listened to,,
I thought PBS was the most unbiased.
Romney was a jerk to him, Obama was respectful but Mr. Lehrer was quite impartial.
I think that was mainly because Obama was already taking more time than he was supposed to.
A few times the moderator prevented Obama from responding to some important points. On the other hand Romney seemed to have more latitude.
He was very walked over the whole night.
He's the President, first of all. He wasn't being a jerk about it. When Jimmy chimed in, Obama was charismatic and respectful. Romney just talked over him and acted like a total jerk. They had the same amount of time. I timed them both most of the time.
He was very impartial
It seemed to me like he was more short-tempered with Romney trying to interject or run over the time limit. But I think this is also because Romney was being rude about it.
Romney does not have a plan to put through a $5 trillion tax cut.
Stop spinning this.
Jim did that to Romney, too. I thought that rude as well.
He actually interrupted Obama to ask Romney to retort. Rude, and the only time he bothered really getting in the way at all.
Wow. We forgot a dislike button.
Confident Romney will help the middle class
Romney has absolutely no plan to cut taxes on the rich. Stop spinning this.
It was like night of the living dead. Can we get some around 42 to moderate?
CNN must not have counted all the um's and ah's.
Cnn reported: MrO received 4 minutes more time than Romney. Proof positive of bias by the moderator.
bet your small change first...
Gotta call BS on that. Both candidates were allowed to speak basically as long as they wanted, the moderator didn't enforce the time limit on either person. I'll be curious to see if anyone notes the exact total time each candidate spoke. I bet it's very close and not and nothing to complain about.
Thought he did ok.
Obama was routinely allowed to go beyond his time limit. I thought it was supposed to be a 2 minute limit? Obama went over 3 a couple of times. Romney was lucky if he got 2 minutes without interruption from Obama or the moderator.
Makum- excuse me?!
Lehrer was giving Obama much more time. Romney had to be aggressive!
He should be replaced by a buzzer next time
Romney is being very rude to the moderator. Very unpresidential.
Good news is all of the prez extra mins is him stammering like a tool
Seriously? Look at the clock. Pres had been allowed more time. Romney has to be forceful.
He's allowing Obama to dominate the time and then trying to cut off Romney.
I was a yes on this but have changed to a no. He is allowing the president to talk too much, which is forcing Romney to jump over the moderator to respond. Prez is 5+ mins
Jim leher, "mr president, but you believe.......". Totally prompting Obama!
More than I expected...Romney isn't letting him railroad him.
All teachers are real! :)
Romney has been rude to him. I'd have a bias too if one guy kept interrupting me.
He's making Romney be more specific and stopping in the middle of sentences, and Obama has gotten 5 extra minutes of talking.
I notice the moderator confronting Romney about a specific answer, but didn't do the same for Obama. It's so difficult, and probably impossible, to hide his bias.
