They are lowering expectations to make themselves look better during the debate. A classic tactic.

The teleprompter myth is getting so tired....

Actually, Romney is the more practiced debater, especially recently. He'll still blow it, though.

Romney. Obama is screwed if there are any questions about his record

So this is not " prepared" compared to the debates with McCain ?? GET A CLUE

Obama outsourcing jobs to china ??? Really??? Romney outsourced jobs to china in his own company to sweatshops to make a bigger profit. Get real!!!

Obama will lie and gloss over things. He's a schmoozer and will do well if you only look at the surface.

I am a republican but I expect Obama to perform well in the debate. It's his strength.

Much more likely to have weighted questions from the media personalities moderating the debates.

News flash: it's not just the app that's red. This is a conservative country. The silent majority doesn't make as much fuss as the liberals on TV, but they do know how to balance a checkbook.

Obama. He's had more practice, and Romney tends to say questionable things

Uh, because THAT'S more important than solving the issues. Yeah, charisma really helped out over the last four years with the economy and foreign affairs......just sayin

If King Husayn can't dictate terms then he doesn't do well. Knowing how dirty he is there is most likely an insider that fed him the questions already so he could script his answers.

Well the mass media will no doubt act as if Obama performed best regardless of what actually happens

The myth of Obama's oratorical skills will die tonight. He is capable of lecturing in a pompous manner with a script in front of him. He is petulant and childish when criticized and THAT is going to happen. Romney will come off as more presidential as Obama makes excuses for the last four years.

Obama misspeaks less often, and tends to more frequently answer questions directly as opposed to avoiding or misunderstanding them. He comes across as more eloquent and intelligent, whether he is or not.

Obama can stand up there and throw up all over the stage, the media is still going to say he won the debate.

Romney is going to destroy Obama.
Not only with just Obamas record, but with facts. Romney is a MUCH better
Debater. And of course, Barak will not have his TelePrompTer. History shows when he wings it without writers he usually says the wrong thing.

Obama will give him a beating even without a teleprompter, that s just there for the assurance. Obama is a really good speaker and debater. Obama and Axelrod know what they are doing and know their stuff, and are running a good campaign. Biden, however, is nothing compared to them.

Obama will preform better, however seals preform too. I want neither as president. Biden is disgusting I don't want him a heartbeat away from the Presidentency.

Obama is a masterful speaker and debater. We've had 4 years of this clever talker, and we need more than that from our president.

Romney is most likely going to either try to moderate the debate himself by getting all pissy about the rules, or make a wager with Obama about some petty point. He might even do both.

I think they both will do well. Romney may have the edge. He's been debating for a year now, some 20 in all. But like I've said before the President don't have to win, just look good.

When did a debate change from the contrast of ideas into a high school popularity contest? Are we that far gone? Should we all just wait for our chocolate rations and watch Hunny Boo Boo?

Easiest way Romney can smash O in all three debates? Compare records. Forget tapes, rumors, gaffes, etc. Simply compare the FACTS in REALITY. Check mate. The end. President Romney!

IMHO he's also the better debater. The only time he's a decent politician is when he's debating. Of course, that's assuming he doesn't make any $10K bets. :)

Obama is a finely polished speaker and exudes confidence. Romney acts like he's fighting an uphill battle and will most probably overcompensate. Either candidate that hesitates will lose.

I don't understand why the polls show (in SoH) that more people say they will agree with Romney, yet the majority thinks O will win? Ummmm... People, if you like what Romney says BETTER, then HE wins. Maybe you guys are going to listen to who the MEDIA decides is the winner? Wtf?
