While cub is with my parents and I'm between deadlines, I've decided also to do zero housework tonight and just relax. I can't remember the last time I did this. Maybe 6 months ago? When was the last time you took some me time?

I used to get me time at 5am until kids woke up at 7. But these days my littlest is waking up at 5:30. I miss my me time, time to invest in blackout curtains!

Right?! Why? What is happening at 5:30 that they decide it is time to wake up? Sigh...

No such thing as me time. Everything is built on to accomplish a greater good...

Unless you count the time I send on SOH. Lol

I haven't had a day off (holidays included) in the last two years. I work two jobs just to pay rent, and one of them I have to work each morning.

I have not even had a weekend in the past... Month? My senior project presentation is this Friday. The past two weekends I've spent a total of 24 hours or more working, for each weekend. And all day, everyday, during the week. Needless to say, when finals week comes I'll be resting so well!!

My only me time is an hour or so after dropping the kids off at school, and late at night after everyone else is sleeping. Not a lot.

Although it's difficult right now for you, please cherish your time with them. I looked at my HS senior tonight wishing i could relive her younger years all over again. She'll be off to college in a few months, and though I'm so proud of her, in a way I don't want her to go.
